Is 2012 The End of The World

people say the end of the world will be December 21 2012 (12,21,12). They think it would happen ,but they said the same thing on 2000 and we are still hear. I think it will not happen. what do you think?

    I heard on the discovery channel that the worlds not going to end the Mayan calender is just going to restart so no need to worry we are still here.

    I wonder what makes people think 2000 would be the end of the world? I do think wittnessing the end of the world would be somthing worth dying for.
