May the 4th be with you!

I wonder what it would be like to eat with light saber chopsticks?

written by Grade 5NT

Dylan had a chubby platypus

Whose head was as pink as pig

And everywhere that Dylan went

That platypus would do a jig.

The students of Grade 5NT created this poem today!

Welcoming wallpaper wolverine whoopee,

Grasshopper geography genuinely goopy.

Brilliantly bewildered bargaining brain,

Diploma dinosaur dragonfly drain.

The following is an excerpt from a press release put out by the Canadian Internet Registration Authority:

Click here to see us on A Channel’s AMorning.  It was great to see how many students were able to get up so early on a holiday Monday to be on TV.  Thanks to everyone at A Channel for showing us around the studios and sharing their Tim Bits, muffins and donuts.

This afternoon I got a call from someone who worked for the Canadian Internet Registration Authority. He told me how much they liked our video and that it made the top 8 finalists!

Congratulations everyone! Your hard work creating posters, recording audio, writing on blackboards and falling off of snow boulders paid off!

I hope everyone gets a chance to visit www.ShowUsYour.ca to see the other videos that were shortlisted.  They are all really good.  Ours is a part of a wide range of videos including a rock group , a news anchor who went to Haiti after the earthquake, and a business that paints bicycle bells.

With your parent’s permission, please vote. You will be asked to give an email address and phone number.  The C.I.R.A. promises not to send spam or bug your home with telemarketing.

If you know of any family members and friends who you think would vote for us, please ask them to visit www.ShowUsYour.ca.  Just by voting, they will be entered in a draw to win a camcorder.
